Mission

The English Program mission and goals of the Department of Education are base on the Organic Law(149) of July 1999.  The mission, according to the law, is to develop communi- catively competent students in the English language.

Goals

• Encourage all students to become informed and responsable citizens in a democratic society.

 

• Empower students to become competent, knowledgeable, independent, reflective, and self-confident English language learners.

 

• Prepare students to access, organize, and evaluate information obtained through technological or electronic means for the development of listening, reading and writing skills.
